Designed by Callen Studio, this 4,000-square-foot custom farmhouse in Cashiers, North Carolina, is a thoughtfully crafted new build that pays tribute to the original farmhouse that once stood on the property. Black walnut trees harvested and milled from the 100-acre estate are transformed into custom details and finishes throughout, while reclaimed timbers from the original structure and stone salvaged from its historic fireplace are given new life in the home. Custom millwork designed by Candace Callen brings together the old and new, creating a residence rooted in the history of the land, the character of its materials, and the enduring craftsmanship of a mountain farmhouse.
